IoD's chief executive quits abruptly

Simon Arcus is no longer in the role.

Institute of Directors chief executive Simon Arcus has quit the job abruptly.

Mr Arcus has been head of the IoD since July last year and had been acting chief executive from November 2014.

The institute issued a statement this morning saying Mr Arcus resigned for personal reasons last week.
