iOS 4.3 upgrade chokes my iPhone

Apple's free operating system software upgrade for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch arrives early - but its signature feature is only available for owners of Apple's latest handset.

3.30pm: My own iOS 4.3 upgrade - on an iPhone 4 - initially went horribly wrong. The Apple logo remained onscreen endlessly during the sync phase of the upgrade. Eventually an error message came up saying "The iPhone 'iPhone 4 CK' could not be updated. An unknown error occurred". Gulp.
