iPredict: Banks to stand down within two weeks
iPredict traders give John Banks a 64% chance of temporarily stepping down as a minister.
iPredict traders are betting Epsom MP John Banks will stand down as a minister within a fortnight.
Mr Banks is engulfed in a scandal involving anonymous donations he received for his SuperCity mayoral campaign.
They include a $50,000 donation from internet guru Kim Dotcom, which Mr Banks denies knowing about.
However, Mr Dotcom says Mr Banks not only knew, but asked him to split the sum into two $25,000 "anonymous" donations to get around electoral rules.
Prime Minister John Key is standing by the MP, but iPredict users give Mr Banks a 64% chance of temporarily stepping down as a minister before May 15.
In a separate stock on whether an Epsom byelection will be held, 58% of traders believe there will be one before the next general election.
