Jetstar and Air Canada have signed an agreement that will allow passengers to combine both airlines’ flights on a single booking.
The new interline agreement will allow travellers to connect their Jetstar domestic or international service with travel to or from destinations such as Vancouver, Toronto and Quebec City through Honolulu, Hawaii.
Jetstar executive manager commercial David Koczkar said the move, which will provide new access opportunities for inbound visitation to Australia, New Zealand and beyond from Canada, will be financially beneficial to the airline.
“Through our growing interline and GDS partnerships, customers planning travel across the Asia Pacific region are now better able to tap into the Jetstar Group network when determining their travel itinerary to or from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and increasingly North America.
“Customers are now obtaining even greater flexibility, convenience and choice of destinations when travelling Jetstar,” he said.
Air Canada is offering a special fare of $2,410 including taxes and charges for travel between Vancouver and Sydney with a stopover in Honolulu on at least one-way.
The fares, which are only available through travel agents, are on sale until 30 April for travel until December 31, 2010 and must include one stop in either direction.
