Former Labour leader David Cunliffe bowed to the inevitable this afternoon. He withdrew from the party’s latest leadership race, and endorsed Andrew Little.
Mr Cunliffe said he would stay on as an MP.
He said he had not done any deal for a senior role in exchange for backing Mr Little.
