Some special quests arrived to watch question time in Parliament today: a troupe of Miss Universe contestants.

Welcoming the new arrivals to the public gallery, Maurice Williamson announced “I was delighted to have entertained them in my office during lunchtime.”

Labour’s Darren Hughes got in the best line in the ensuing frenzy to impress the contestants, calling a point of order to inform them that his party also believed in world peace.
