Liquidator censured for repeated episodes of ‘negligence’
David Edward Thomas’s failings include allowing accounting records under his control to be edited.
The penalty was handed out by the disciplinary tribunal of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Tauranga insolvency practitioner David Edward Thomas has been censured and ordered to pay costs of close to $40,000 after pleading guilty to negligence, unbecoming conduct of an accountant, and breaching industry code of ethics.
