Lorde nominated for four Grammys

Lorde has been nominated for four Grammy music awards.

The 17-year-old Auckland singer-songwriger is up for Song of the Year for Royals (which topped the US charts for nine weeks), Record of the Year for Pure Heroine, best pop vocal album, for Pure Heroine, and best pop solo performance for Royals.

Lorde missed out on a nomination for Best New Artist, where nominees include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, James Blake, Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran.

P!nk's Just Give Me A Reason, Bruno Mars' Locked Out Of Heaven, Katy Perry's Roar and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' Same Love were the other four singles nominated for Song of the Year.

The Grammys are on January 26 in Los Angeles - setting up a conflict with Lorde's scheduled performance at the Laneway festival in Auckland.
