The NZX board has announced two changes: the resignation of Nigel Williams as a director and the appointment of Alison Gerry to the board.
Mr Williams, who has been an NZX director since April 2004, has been promoted to chief risk officer at ANZ in Melbourne so is leaving the NZX and other boards.
Ms Gerry will join the Wellington-based NZX board from February next year. She is a director of TVNZ and also holds board roles at Queenstown Airport and Pioneer Generation, which involve the operation of infrastructure. She has a background in global financial markets, including working at Macquarie Bank and HSBC.
In addition, her experience as Treasurer of the then listed Lion Nathan, and her directorship of KiwiBank, ensure that she brings a full set of skills, experience and interests to the Board of NZX, whose strategy is focussed on operating and offering an integrated set of information, markets and infrastructure platforms, chairman Andrew Harmos says.
