Dame Trelise Cooper’s luxe third-floor apartment at the Sonata in St Heliers remains on the market, a relative steal at $8 million.
The fashion designer and husband Jack listed the three-bedroom, 275-square-metre home a year ago, signaling a wish to relocate to San Diego to be closer to family.
The couple, who are commuting until the pad is sold, paid a reputed $10.5m for the sprawling Devore Street apartment in late 2022 in an off-plan deal with Reside Projects for the most up-spec’d of the five Buchan Group-designed apartments on offer.
Barfoot & Thompson realtor Aaron Foss, who is marketing the home, told NBR there’d been some interest, but offers to date hadn’t quite matched the expectation of the vendor.

Also on the market is 97 Seaview Road, the long-term Remuera home of realtor Megan Jaffe and cardiologist husband Warwick, after the couple relocated to Waiheke.
The 460 sqm home, which includes a 25-metre heated lap pool, is expected to sell for more than $10m.

At 293 Tāmaki Drive in Kohimarama, apartment and townhouse developer Gosling is fielding enquiries for its latest luxury offering at the Beachhouse – despite it only hitting the market just prior to the Easter weekend.
Auckland's Cheshire Architects were tapped to come up with its interpretation of a beach house.
Cheshire, known for its work on the Hotel Britomart and City Works Depot, counts a number of impressive residences on its portfolio, including Waiheke House on Waiheke; Vineyard House, at Peter Cooper's The Landing in Northland; and the Tara Iti Glasshouse, near Mangawhai.
Each of the three luxury units, which have been marketed since Easter, come with an asking price of $10m.
Gosling snapped up the 891 sqm beachfront address last August for $6.85m in a fiercely contested, four-day buying process.
Gosling’s Bastiaan Struijck.
Director and owner Bastiaan Struijck has navigated the firm through a successful 30-year run as residential developer in top Auckland suburbs, counting The Ridge in Mission Bay and Hemisphere in Parnell among its latest projects.
But, he said, the Beachhouse would be a “step up” for the firm. The builder on the development will be Cedar Construction, landscapes are being done by Urbanite, and the development will feature kitchens and wardrobes supplied by Italian designer furniture firm Molteni&C.
Also fresh to NBR Marketplace is a sprawling 402 sqm triple-storey home at 56B Arney Crescent in Remuera.
The home, owned by downsizers relocating to Omaha, boasts views over the harbour and Rangitoto Island and features multiple living spaces – accessed via a lift, a media lounge, and wine cellar.
Sotheby’s Greg Ennerly expects offers in the vicinity of $8m.
Ennerly has added $10m to that price tag for Glendowie’s rambling 577 sqm waterfront, gated estate at 511 and 513 Riddell Road.
The six-bedroom home, owned for many years by publishing magnate (and former NBR owner) Barry Colman, is situated across 2449 sqm and features seven garages and direct waterfront access, as well as a separate guest cottage.
511 Riddell Rd, on the market at $18m.
Then, in Queenstown’s Dalefield, comes a unique 340 sqm architectural home at 17 Littles Road, listed on NBR Marketplace by realtor Oliver Road.
Designed by Marc Scaife, responsible for Queenstown’s Matakauri Lodge, and located on a five-hectare property, the home comes with an asking price a shade under $6m, reduced last month from the $6.37m original listing price.
Outside of expansive native plantings and sprawling lawns, the lifestyle block features a pond-side studio, pétanque area, vegetable gardens, and greenhouse.
