Tech stocks rebound, Qantas/Air NZ fail to take off
Nvidia’s record result largely shrugged off by market looking for bigger things from AI and tech mega-cap stocks, while Qantas and Air NZ fly into earnings turbulence.
Both Qantas and Air New Zealand results disappointed the market.
Results from American tech heavyweight Nvidia on Thursday showed as a blip on the markets, but otherwise did little to placate fears of an AI cool-down.
Market observers suggested an otherwise muted market response showed institutions had shifted from a ‘buy at any cost’ mentality.
