The national median house price rose $10,500 in March from February to $360,500, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (Reinz) says.
Its latest monthly report, published today, shows 6161 sales last month, up from 5029 in February and just 3666 in January, but below the 6694 in March 2009.
Reinz said that while the national median house price was just $500 up on the December figure, it was more than 7 percent ahead of the March 2009 figure.
