MediaWorks launches voucher site with TV tie-in
A group buying site? There's an idea.
A group buying site? There's an idea.
MediaWorks, in partnership with ACP Media, Microsoft's MSN and Cudo Australia, has launched a group buying website, Cudo.co.nz
Does the nation need yet another discount voucher site?
MediaWorks says its point of difference is that companies selling stuff over Cudo can also buy cheap exposure on MediaWorks radio stations, in ACP magazines or - and here's the real kicker - get name-checked in TV spots fronted by Carly Flynn (last seen on the axed Sunrise). The TV spots will appear four times a day on TV3 (including a primetime 8.10pm slot), and twice during the evening on Four.
Cudo launches March 28.
It will join crowded field of Groupon clones including GrabOne (50% owned by Mr Bradley, 50% by Herald publisher APN), TradeMe's Treat Me; Groupy, now owed by Yellow; and Spreets, recently bought by Yahoo7.
