June Hardacre

June has broad experience in all aspects of both New Zealand and English employment law. June regularly advises on senior executive appointments and terminations; restraints of trade and protection of confidential information; performance and disciplinary processes; restructuring, redundancy and outsourcing programmes; industrial relations and collective bargaining matters; whistleblowing and protected disclosures; and employee data privacy issues. June has been involved in litigation at all levels of the New Zealand court system, both in relation to substantive disputes and urgent interlocutory matters. June has significant experience in acting for both private and listed companies in the financial services, pharmaceutical and healthcare, and food and beverage sectors.

June recently returned to New Zealand, having practiced at a magic circle firm in London for several years, and at another top tier New Zealand law firm prior to that. During her time in London, June regularly advised leading private equity houses and FTSE100 companies on employment law and regulatory issues.

Jane Standage

Jane is an experienced litigator with particular expertise in banking and financial services litigation, class action disputes, complex contractual disputes, professional negligence claims and disputes involving issues of companies and securities law. She has acted on large scale commercial disputes in New Zealand and internationally.

Jane joined MinterEllisonRuddWatts in 2017 from another major New Zealand law firm. Prior to that, Jane worked in the commercial litigation team at Allen & Overy, London. She also completed a Master of Laws at New York University on a Fulbright Scholarship and Hauser Global Scholarship. In the early part of her career, Jane was a Judge’s Clerk at the New Zealand Court of Appeal and worked as a junior for David Goddard QC. She was the top graduating law student at Victoria University of Wellington. Jane is also a member of the New Zealand Law Society Law Reform Committee.

Hannah Andrews

Hannah is a general commercial lawyer who specialises in technology law. Her main areas of practice are advising on technology procurement, development, support, licensing, outsourcing and services arrangements, together with providing associated intellectual property advice. She also advises on general commercial matters and issues relating to privacy law.

She has worked with clients from a wide range of different industries in respect of their technology and intellectual property issues, including global leaders in the financial services, telecommunications and energy industries. Her experience covers working in private practice and in-house in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom.

Sonya Forbes

Sonya is a Senior Associate in our Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team with expertise in data, technology, telecommunications, outsourcing and complex projects. Sonya also advises on general commercial matters and on corporate transactions.

Clients describe Sonya as a positive, proactive and focussed business partner whose work product is high quality, thorough and delivered on time. They note her organisational skill, tenacity, and ability to analyse and find practical solutions to multi-dimensional problems.

Prior to joining MinterEllisonRuddWatts, Sonya worked for other major law firms in New Zealand and in-house for large international corporates in the United Kingdom.
