New Zealander Sam Morgan is among a number of contenders Fairfax Media Ltd is considering for non-executive director positions, the Australian Financial Review has reported.
Morgan has not been available to comment on the report. He is a director of two other companies - listed software services comapny Xtra and his father Gareth Morgan's Kiwisaver business.
Sam Morgan is the founder of the online auction site TradeMe, which Fairfax purchased in 2006 for $700 million.
Fairfax is due to announce its half-year result on February 22.
