The pace of house price inflation has slowed to its most sluggish pace since April 2015, suggesting it may under-shoot the Reserve Bank's forecast.

The latest Real Estate Institute figures show national annual house price inflation slowed to single digits in September for the first time since April 2015, though prices in Wellington continue to sky rocket.
