National has wheeled out a catalogue of 120 measures, apparently in response to a survey showing most businesses do not think the government has a plan.
The catalogue was released this afternoon by Prime Minster John Key, backed by a business-related ministers Stephen Joyce, David Carter and Hekia Parata.
Most of the catalogue is not new: the most significant new measure is a new $15 million a year "national science challenges" programme.
Mr Key singled this policy out for attention, describing it as the most important of the group.
Last week Business New Zealand/Deloitte's pre-election conference released a survey of the country's businesses which showed most do not believe National has a coherent plan to deal with the country's economic challenges.
Mr Key said today's release was "not really a response to that but [the survey] did highlight to us that maybe we are not doing all we could have done to put our programme out there there."
