This bungalow-style house at 94 Haverstock Road made headlines earlier in the year when it sold at a Bayleys auction with neighbouring 96 Haverstock Road, which sold for $860,000.

Housing New Zealand general manager asset development Sean Bignell said it was an exceptional price. It certainly is. The sections are large and subdividable but Haverstock Road, packed with state housing, has historically been a working class street - and that's what it still looks like (see Google Street views here).

This house was sold together with bare section 17A for a combined total of over $1.6 million. The CV of the adjoining 17A address was $323,000. Harcourt Agent Cameron Bailey  told NBR ONLINE the existing property was going to be renovated and a new home built on the site.
