The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand has appointed former Crockers Property Group operations manager Helen O’Sullivan as its new chief executive.
Ms O’Sullivan replaced temporary chief executive of the institute Wendy Alexander, who is going back to her former position as real estate agency Barfoot & Thompson chief executive.
A member of the Institute of Directors and Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ms O’Sullivan was at Crockers for three years and was previously associate director at Korda Mentha for six years.
“We are very pleased to have attracted someone with such a diverse and relevant property and business management background,” Real Estate Institute chairwoman Rosanne Meo said.
“I’m confident that Helen will continue to further develop the constructive relationship that REINZ has formed with the new Real Estate Agents Authority.”
Ms O’Sullivan will take up the chief executive role at Real Estate Institute of New Zealand next month.
