Nosh has announced a partnership with UK firm Waitrose to position the business for “substantial growth”.

Director Clinton Beuvink said the partnership signals Nosh’s intention to continue growing nationwide. Also, up to 100 Waitrose-branded products will be on shelves in Nosh’s six stores in time for Christmas.

He said working with Waitrose would support Nosh growth via economies of scale, logistics know-how and process management.

Waitrose has 264 outlets in the UK and two in Dubai which means the partnership will give Nosh “insights into best practices and logistics which we will apply as we continue to expand our own footprint and increase our share of the grocery market to our target of 5%,” Mr Beuvink said.

He made sure to say that there are no current plans to sell Nosh to foreign investors.

“We’re proudly Kiwi owned and operated,” he said, adding that the Waitrose partnership would complement Nosh’s range, not replace any local products.
