USAF to stand down A-10 Warthogs
First steps toward retiring classic jet made despite opposition in Congress.

The US House Armed Services Committee last month gave notice of the USAF’s intention to withdraw 21 Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, nicknamed the Warthog, in favour of Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons within the Indiana Air National Guard (ANG).
