New Zealand’s quality of life remains a strong attraction for the world’s expat community.

This country ranks second to Singapore in HSBC’s latest Expat Explorer report.

While Singapore scores higher for its dynamic economy, it ranks second to New Zealand as giving expats the best life experience.

New Zealand ranks second among expats as a place for families and Singapore is third.

Top ranking for families goes to Sweden, which ranks third overall.

Switzerland scores top for its economy but drops to the mid-20s as a place for experience and family.

HSBC surveys nearly 22,000 internationally based expats in 100 countries on 27 criteria in three categories of economy, experience and family among 39 countries and territories.

The survey has been running for eight years.
