Orcon fleshes out management team


Plus: investors want to remain anonymous.

Orcon has named four more members of its management team:

  • Simon Wilson, formerly GM of reseller Talk Mobile is GM business
     
  • Brent Nicholson is GM corporate and government. Mr Nicholson was formerly with Vivid Networks. Mr Nicholson comes from Vivid Networks - the almost unknown business ISP that shares common private ownership with Vivid Solutions, the successful but low-profile teleconferencing. Semple Investments, owned by Vivid's backers, financed 48% of the Orcon deal.
     
  • David Clarke (formerly GM Wholesale for TelstraClear and business strategy manager for Telecom, and no relation to the Kordia chairman of the same name) is GM wholesale and regulatory
     
  • Simon Hayden is GM of new markets and media, and will start May 27. Mr Hayden comes from Vivid Solutions where he was CEO.

Mssers Wilson, Nicholson and Clarke start their roles immediately, joining other new appointees, CTO Warren Hurst CTO (ex Vivid), COO Tony Reimann (ex Revera) and CEO Greg McAlister (ex Vodafone, Telecom).

Kordia sold Orcon on April 15 to a group 48% owned by Vivid's Semple Investments and 52% owned by a mystery group of private investors.

This afternoon, an Orcon spokesman told NBR Online their was no plan to introduce the investors to the public. They will attempt to remain anonymous.
