Corin Dann and Petra Bagust will co-present TV One’s Breakfast programme when it returns next year.
Pippa Wetzell is leaving to give birth to her third child while Peter Williams will return to presenting the news during Breakfast next year.
The question of who will host the show has been the subject of intense speculation since former co-presenter Paul Henry resigned after his infamous comments about Governor-General Sir Anand Satyanand and an Indian politician.
Ms Bagust has presented a diverse range of television from live music and youth lifestyle to travel and real estate shows, talent searches, charity boxing bouts, Telethon, Christmas in the Park and, most recently, a documentary series.
Mr Dann, younger brother of Herald business editor Liam Dann, has been the host of TV One’s business programme.
Before joining TVNZ he had a long career in radio including spells reporting sport, economics and five years as a political reporter covering two general elections in the Parliamentary Press Gallery.
He was also an occasional presenter on Radio New Zealand’s flagship programme Morning Report.
TVNZ's Andi Brotherston told NBR the broadcaster was close to signing a replacement for Mr Dann on NZI Business. An announcement will be made shortly.
