PGG Wrightson said it will in future have two business divisions of agri-services and agri-tech, resulting in a reshuffling of its senior management.
Its customer services and financial services division will be combined in the agri-services division led from July 2 by Michael Thomas, the current group general manager of financial services. This division encompasses rural supplies, fruitfed, livestock, irrigation and pumping, Agriculture New Zealand, finance, real estate and insurance.
The agri-tech division includes the seeds, grain and nutrition businesses and will be led by John McKenzie, the current group general manager seed, grain and nutrition.
Mike Skilling, currently group general manager customer services, is leaving the company.
Managing director Tim Miles said the agri-tech business was about growth and development in an international market, while agri-services was primarily focused on New Zealand.
