John Key's RadioLive show during last year's election campaign has been referred to the police. The Electoral Commission confirmed the move to NBR and a spokeswoman said the full decision will be on the Commission's website at 5pm.
While the decision has not been made public, and it is not due to be until later this afternoon, it is widely understood that Mr Key's show, which Labour lodged a complaint with the commission about, has been referred to the police for breaching the Broadcasting Act.
A spokeswoman for the PM said it was a matter for the police and the broadcaster and would not make any further comment.
