Auckland to host APEC virtually
The government made the decision because of uncertainty around Covid-19 border restrictions.

Auckland’s hosting of the 2021 APEC summit will now be done using digital platforms rather than holding a physical event because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Apec was expected to bring up to 22,000 international attendees with around 10,000 attendees expected for Leader’s Week in November
