Government confirms continuing subsidies for screen sector

Minister says screen sector rebate remains an important part of the Government's economic plan.

Overseas and domestic screen productions will continue to be able to access significant rebates.

The Government is making changes to the screen production grant to make it easier to access.

After conducting a review of the system, the Government announced today it would continue subsidising overseas and local productions, which since 2014 have cost it $1.15 billion in rebates on productions
