Government frees up immigration to attract more health workers

In the face of a global shortage of health workers, Government makes immigration settings as competitive as possible.

Last month almost 900 overseas nurses applied to register to work in New Zealand.

The Government has added another 32 health jobs to the immigration Green List as it tries to deal with labour shortages in the health sector.

Dentists, drug and alcohol counsellors, psychologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physiotherapists are among those who will get immediate residency
