Reserve Bank digs deeper into mortgage debt

Will the bank be given a debt-to-income tool to manage household debt?

New Reserve Bank data confirms the proportion of households with high debt-to-income ratios has fallen in the past two years.

In June 2017 37% of all owner-occupiers with mortgages had debt more than five times their household income. By June this year that had fallen to 31%.
