The Treasury’s worries about housing sector

It warned that to meet its housing targets Kāinga Ora might have to absorb much higher construction costs.

As recently as May the Treasury was raising concerns about Kāinga Ora’s performance, saying the urban and housing development agency had delivered just 380 net new homes so far in the year or 14% of its annual target of 2700.
