Fonterra farmers approve $4.2b Lactalis deal
Co-op shareholders can look forward to $3.2b capital return next year.
Fonterra’s shareholders have strongly backed its $4.22 billion sale of Mainland Group at a special meeting this morning.
In a statement to the NZX, the co-op said 88.5% of votes were cast in favour of the deal, with 80.6% of supply-backed shares voting.
