McCain Foods and Heinz-Wattie’s are scaling back the number of vegetable growers they work with across Hawke’s Bay.
Drumpeel Farms owner Hugh Ritchie said the two companies had reduced the number of external growers they used for annual crops, focusing instead on land they owned or leased.
