Founder of honey biotech firm placed the company into liquidation late last year, much to the surprise of small shareholders.

TRG Natural Pharmaceuticals develops medical products for skin conditions, pain, nutrition, and cosmetics from kānuka honey.

Failed honey biotech firm TRG Natural Pharmaceuticals owes creditors more than $1.2 million, according to the liquidators’ first report.

The Tauranga-based company was placed into liquidation at the request of its second-largest shareholder, Shaun Holt, on December 18.
