Petition claims Auckland Council consent fees are illegal
Building and Construction Minister has 60 working days to decide whether to act on the claim.
The petition claims there are several grounds where the council has breached the Building Act.
The Government has been asked to consider whether suppliers to Auckland Council should have to provide producer statements, and pay extra fees for them, for building consent applications.
