Quickflix launches pay as you go

Non-subscribers will be able to purchase shows by the episode or by the season

Mon, 12 May 2014

Movie streaming service Quickflix has developed a pay-as-you-go service for non-subscribers.

The development means TV fans can purchase shows by the episode or by the season, to view using the internet on devices such as computers, smart TVs, Xbox 360, tablets and smartphones.

The move enables consumers to access programmes such as Downton Abbey, The Walking Dead, Hannibal, Orphan Black, Luther, Miranda, Rectify, Call the Midwife and Ja’mie: Private School Girl.

Quickflix NZ managing director Paddy Buckley says other series will be added in coming months from Disney, NBC Universal, ABC, eOne, Starz and BBC.

“This is a major development for legal TV viewing in this country and provides a nice complement to our existing subscription service and pay per view latest release movies,” Mr Buckley says.
