A little more than half of responding NBR ONLINE readers say nothing should be done to the Australian disc jockeys and 2Day FM radio station behind the royal hoax call.

Asked, in the wake of the apparent suicide of Jacintha Saldanha (46) – who put through the hoax call to Kate Middleton’s hospital ward - what should happen, 56% of responding readers said nothing, 24% said there should be internal discipline by the radio station’s parent company Southern Cross Austereo and 20% called for prosecution.

The DJs at the centre of the royal prank call suicide scandal broke their silence last week.

Presenters Mel Greig and Michael Christian have been suspended indefinately.
