A Labour Party staffer facing theft and dishonesty charges has been remanded to appear next month.

In the Wellington District Court today, the 23-year-old man was remanded to reappear on July 4.

He has been granted interim name suppression, despite the fact his name has already appeared in newspapers.

The man, who did not appear, is charged with theft of an amount over $1000 and obtaining by deception an amount between $500 and $1000.
