Beer consumption peaks above pre-pandemic levels

While alcohol volumes are up without lockdowns, hospitality is still a mixed bag.

First-half beer consumption has reached above pre-pandemic levels, a measure which supposedly signals the recovery of the brewing and hospitality industries out the back of the Covid lockdowns.

Data released by Stats NZ show total beer available for consumption in the six months to June 30 at 134.3
