NZ Post chief executive Brian Roche has been confirmed as chairman of Rugby New Zealand (RNZ) 2011, the organisation responsible for the Rugby World Cup this year.
Former RNZ 2011 chairman Jock Hobbs resigned from the board in December 2010 to focus on his battle with cancer.
Mr Roche was appointed acting chairman of RNZ 2011 in May last year following Mr Hobbs’ initial health concerns.
Mr Hobbs, who was also a director and chief executive of failed finance company Strategic Finance, continues to receive treatment.
