The world's biggest selling smartphone gets a bigger display, and goes quad-core.
Ahead of its official Mobile World Congress unveiling in Barcelona, details have leaked of Samsung's Galaxy S3 - the successor to the Galaxy S2, the biggest selling Android phone.
The display is said to have been super-sized to 4.8-inches, again upping the ante in the smartphone makers' bigger-is-better (as long as its thin) feature war.
Those who remember a decade a ago, when the likes of Nokia and Motoroa fought to make ever smaller handsets, should prepare to be even more bemused.
The processor has also been beefed up, from dual-core to quad core, according to the rumour-mill.
The S3 is also said to support 4G/LTE cellular networks - good news for US and Australian buyers in some areas, but irrelevant to local buyers. Telecom, Vodafone and 2degrees have no immediate plans to upgrade their 3G networks until some time after the 4G spectrum auction due to be held late this year.
