The earthquake has been reported being 4.2 on the richter scale, 10km west of Porirua and 30km deep.
A sharp yet short earthquake has left Wellington residents regaining their balance.
The earthquake has been reported being 4.2 on the richter scale, 10km west of Porirua and 30km deep.
This is the second earthquake that has rocked Wellington over the past week.
On Saturday night, a magnitude 5.7 quake hit 30km east of Picton.
