Sir Dryden Spring has retired as a director of Sky City effective today.

He’d served on the board of the casino operator since October 2003.

Sky City chairman Rod McGeoch paid tribute to his services in a brief statement:

“Sir Dryden’s knowledge, wisdom and experience in areas as diverse as audit, governance, capital markets, government regulation, remuneration and market sentiment have always been highly valued. As one of our most experienced directors, he has played a big part in the direction and development of the company and he will be missed."

"We wish Sir Dryden and Lady Margaret all the best for the future.”

Sir Dryden, who turns 73 next week, was made a knight in 1994 for his services to the dairy industry.

He continues to hold a number of other directorships including Fletcher Building, Northport and Port of Tauranga.
