"Igloo," the low cost pay TV service joint venture between Sky TV and TVNZ, will be headed by Chaz Savage.
Mr Savage's appointment will be formally announced at the new service's official media briefing, December 7.
He is currently general manager of product and subscriber marketing for Sky TV. Previously, Mr Savage worked as a proposition manager for Vodafone.
The Igloo boss will work at an office separate from Sky TV and TVNZ, and insider told NBR.
The new pay TV service will be 51% owned by Sky TV and 49% by TVNZ.
