Small town layoffs loom as Allied Farmers divests stores
Embattled rural service firm Allied Farmers is divesting its farm merchandise stores in a move likely to result in staff layoffs.
Allied Farmers said today its rural retail stores were not performing and a decision had been made to divest them either by closure or sale.
