The wintry blast moving up New Zealand has caused disruption for domestic air travel.
A number of Air New Zealand flights in and out of the South Island have been cancelled, with the Dunedin and Christchurch airports worst affected.
Flights are expected to resume from about 3pm in Dunedin and 4pm in Christchurch as the snowy weather heads further up the country.
Snow is even predicted to hit Wellington's CBD, although there has been no disruption to Wellington Airport yet. Mid afternoon, there were reports of snow on the Hutt Hills.
