Some mad c*** swears on Shortland Street

The NBR newsroom is not always the most delicately spoken office in town but Private Bin blushed when one of the last taboo words tipped out of an actor’s mouth on Shortland St last night.

A bloke who had recently suffered an accident was explaining to one of the dashing doctors how he came to be in a hospital bed.

“Sounds like you were very lucky,” the doctor said to the recovering young man.

“Some mad c*** tries to take me out and I’m lucky?!” the man said, launching into an explanation of how he was attacked on his way out of the takeaway shop.

We’re pretty sure it’s not an approved word for the 7pm time slot and far as we know, Shortland St is not taped before a live studio audience so there’s no real explanation for the gaffe.

Surely it wasn’t in the script?

(Tip of the hat to Throng for spotting the blooper.)
