This week’s ministerial diary includes the following.
We know what you’re thinking: such a vital, high-level treaty surely demands the attention of the entire cabinet.
Why is Mr Brownlee being left to face the guacamole alone?
Seems everything was probably booked.
For the signing coincides with Spring Break in North America, the season for US students to invade beach resorts.
Visitors undergo a last-minute security screening.
Cancun is one of the prime destinations for this bikini and beer-fest, so Private Bin can understand it must have been difficult for Parliamentary Travel Services to secure more than one suite.
To be perfectly frank, Private Bin’s crack research unit has been unable to unearth any trace of an existing NZ-Mexico Renewable Energy Agreement to roll-over.
But we’re guessing it maybe involves securing New Zealand’s supply of tequila (guaranteed to renew energy levels at any party) in exchange for Mexican companies humouring Wellington Drive investors.
