The Supreme Court says Kim Dotcom and his Megaupload associates can appeal again for the disclosure of US Government evidence in its internet piracy case against them.

In a decision just released, the court says the approved ground for appeal is: was the Court of Appeal correct to hold that the disclosure orders made in the District Court and upheld by the High Court were wrongly made?

The Court of Appeal earlier overturned court rulings in favour of the disclosure of evidence which underlies the US Government bid to have Mr Dotcom and his associates extradited.

The evidence forms the case which prompted New Zealand authorities – at the request of the Americans – to raid the Dotcom mansion in January 2012.
