Synlait shares fall despite robust underlying profit

CFO Nigel Greenwood not concerned by one-off costs but share price takes a hit.

Synlait Milk’s underlying first-half net profit rose 23.6% to $15 million as it maintained its margins on canned infant formula despite some slippage in margins on other products.

The company reported a 4% rise in statutory net profit to $10.6 million for the six months ended January.
